COMMONWEALTH LITERATURE CONFERENCE
3-4 April 2013

A two-day international conference conference will be held at Telangana University, Nizamabad  (AP) on 3 & 4 April, 2013.  The program will include plenary lectures, panel discussion, paper-reading sessions, book release function, creative writing session and a book exhibition.  


THEME: New Dimensions in Contemporary Commonwealth Literature

Sub-themes: Emergence of Subaltern Literature, Women's Writing Today, Indian Diasporic Writing

Abstracts of 100--150 words to be sent  to the organisers as early as possible. Latest by 25 Feb. 2013.  Acceptance will be sent within a week of the receipt of the abstract.

Publication
Papers presented at the conference will be published in the prestigous bi-annual journal 'The Commonwealth Review' The journal, with ISBN, has an international standing.

Registration Fee
Rs 1,000 Plus Rs 200 ISCS Fee.  DD to be sent in favour of  'Indian Society of Commonwealth Studies'.

Participants will be entitled to the Conference Kit, breakfast, lunch, evening tea.  Accommodation may  be organised on request for those who send advance payment for hotel room , on modest payment. Room rent charges  and names of hotels will be communicated to those interested to avail this facility.

Nizamabad is well-connected with rail & bus service.  It is about two-and-half hour from Hyderabad.
